Storied History

Founded in 1963 by Donald Witmondt, Woodmont Properties has set the standard in real estate development. Woodmont is a second-generation family-owned, real estate development company that has established a track record of success in real estate development by adhering to a tradition of integrity, and placing a high value on long-term relationships.

Under the leadership of our CEO, Eric Witmondt, Woodmont has become one of the leading regional developers with a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. Eric was instrumental in growing the company by expanding the range, scale and locations of development.

Originally constructed in 2002, the building has a total area of 130,565 SF with two drive-in doors, two dock positions, and 325 automobile spaces. Woodmont Industrial Partners completed an extensive capital improvement program, including the addition of eight new dock doors and upgrades to the existing electrical, sewer, lighting, and sprinkler systems. The site was 100% leased to Amazon before being sold to Black Rock, Inc. in March 2021.

    • Woodmont Industrial Partners was selected by the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) as the exclusive purchaser of an off-airport site owned by the Authority. WIP master planned and designed an over 500,000 SF industrial development for warehouse distribution for the site.  The plan added to the region’s robust logistics outlets and served a direct complement to the air freight capacity at Harrisburg International Airport. WIP gained several municipal approvals and ultimately sold the approved land to Commercial Trailer Leasing using the site for trailer storage while it completed its plans for a motor freight terminal. This effort between WIP and SARAA to bring to market a parcel of land that had struggled to gain market traction was a true testament to the partnership of the two organizations.

Woodmont Industrial Partners performed substantial building and site improvements and secured multiple short-term leases with a major e-commerce retailer within a month of ownership and subsequently with a major candy manufacturer.

Woodmont Properties has completed the lease-up of the first phase of Woodmont Liberty at Independence, a 120-unit multifamily project located on an 11-acre site about 60 miles west of Manhattan. The property offers one- and two-bedroom units that are furnished with custom-designed kitchens, walk-in closets, keyless entry mechanisms, individual washers and dryers and private balconies/patios. Amenities include a pool, outdoor grilling and dining areas, a fitness center, a game room, a conference center, walking trails, and a dog park.
